How can I help?
Grief and loss
Losing a loved one can be an overwhelming experience, as can be other kinds of losses. People often experience distressing thoughts such as:
-
“Whenever I think of them I am overwhelmed with sadness, anxiety, and anger.”
-
“I don’t want to forget them.”
-
“The day they die, time stopped and since then I have felt that I am stuck.”
-
“I don’t deserve to be happy now that they are gone.”
I use modern grief interventions to help you find meaning and joy in life again, while remembering your loved ones in a peaceful way.
Cancer and other chronic illness
Even though cancer treatments are constantly becoming more effective and prognosis are constantly improving, living with cancer can be quite overwhelming. I will help you unpack and change your thoughts and feelings related to your diagnosis and care journey to help you better cope with the stresses associated with your illness and treatments, and enhance your general quality of life. I am also happy to accompany you along survivorship, or throughout other chronic illnesses.
Palliative care and end of life
Receiving a diagnosis of a life-threatening condition that can not be cured might be one of the most difficult challenges you have ever encountered, and the world might feel like it has stopped. Despite those common feelings, there might still be time for you to enjoy the time you have left, to reflect on your life, and to experience peace of mind. Jean Bernard, French pioneer of palliative care described it as “adding life to days when we cannot add more days to one’s life.”
